The Ocean and the Evolution of Consciousness (Part 2)

★Bring the true self that dwells in the divine world (the deep sea) up to your surface consciousness (the sea’s surface), and live it

The great ocean (the true self) is, by its very nature, a treasure house of infinite compassion and creativity.

And water (life) is a vital element that connects the world of the source of life with humanity as it appears here (a surface consciousness that has forgotten its true nature).

You know the words left by Laozi, who is also a senior of ours from our own star: “The highest good is like water.”

To live those words out for real, it’s good to make this awareness a little more certain every day: that you are not, in truth, some small being confined to a physical body. Your true nature is the great ocean itself, and as long as you live expressing that deep, wide heart, anyone can have the power to build a world of great harmony on this earth.

To do that, think of all the seawater covering the whole of the Earth as your own heart: the deepest sea on the ocean floor (the consciousness that dwells in the divine world), the water on the surface (surface consciousness), and everything in between (the consciousness of the astral body and the spirit body), from the farthest east to the farthest west, from the farthest north to the farthest south. If you meet everything in your daily life with a heart that prays for the revival of divinity in all of humanity, then before you know it you’ll slip out of the limited awareness that thinks only the waves on the surface the size of your body (the thoughts of the individual self) are “you,” and your sense of self will expand into the great ocean (the true self) itself.

And as you keep at it, you’ll slip out even from the frame of “the ocean,” and eventually you’ll remember the fact that the land, the air, the water, the universe, every living being in heaven and on earth, and all things in creation were within you all along.

That future, in which you widen and deepen your heart all the way to cosmic consciousness, lies ahead on the path of the practice of evolving consciousness that you are walking.

So, as we’ve said many times, no matter what state the world of appearances falls into, never let yourself be swallowed up by its waves and become one with them.

Recognize that the stormy weather stirred up by the world’s humanity will surely fade away once it has appeared.

What matters is to live shining the calm prayer of still waters, the heart of divinity that is humanity’s true nature, right where you stand and in the circumstances you’re in now.

To tell you the truth, not only the conflicts among people in this world, but also unusual celestial phenomena, rough seas, and the trembling of the land are in some ways deeply connected with the thoughts of humanity as a whole (and this is never meant to blame anyone who is suffering there). As long as the people of Earth remember their divinity and live expressing it, all of these are passing phenomena that will fade away. (The end)
