On Using Consciousness Consciously (Part 1)

★How to use the life force everyone has equally

The light of life, poured equally into each and every one…

Maybe “the power of life” or “life force” is easier to understand.

Everyone uses that life force to move their heart and body.

And how to distribute and use that power of life, how to make use of it—the authority to decide that and the power to manage it are entrusted to each individual physical human being.

You’re free to use it for resentment and envy.

You’re free to use it for anger and hatred.

You’re free to use it for sorrow and negative thinking.

You’re free to use it idly, carried along by inertia.

You’re free to use it while consciously disciplining yourself.

You’re free to use it specializing in the expression of love.

You’re free to use it to polish and raise yourself.

However you use it, no one has the authority to interfere with it or the power to force a change.

Really, no one.

Except your own consciousness.

Even your own Higher Self, your Guardian Deities and Spirits, never interfere at all with an individual’s freedom to use their consciousness as they choose.

Because that’s something like a law of the universe.

That’s why we say how you use your consciousness is entrusted to you.

What directs the use of that life energy, for which you yourself are responsible, is the person’s own heart, consciousness, thoughts, and intentions.

Broadly divided, these fall into two: the conscious mind and the subconscious.

And we’ve said before that the conscious mind is in the physical dimension and the subconscious is in the astral dimension.

★Differences in the use of consciousness were the cause of inequality

This “difference in how consciousness is used”—in other words, “the difference in how each individual uses their consciousness”—is exactly what makes people’s destinies infinitely varied and as different as heaven and earth.

If you look down on this world with only the shallow consciousness of the physical body, you may think, “What an unequal world this is.”

Behind that, differences in how consciousness is used play a large part.

So if you look at your world from the viewpoint of real truth, you can say the light of life is poured equally into everyone.

You may think, “Even if you talk about how to use consciousness, it’s too vague—I don’t get it.” But if you deepen your breathing and settle your consciousness deep in your soul, youcan see clearly how you yourself use your consciousness, as if looking at a picture scroll.

Oh—in this day and age, maybe it’s easier to understand if we say, as if watching a video.

In short, you can look down on yourself objectively from above.

Only when that happens do you come to understand, “Ah, I had this habit of thought. I had this kind of patterned tendency.”

But that alone doesn’t mean you’ve come to know your true self.

Because you’ve only learned the extremely shallow tendencies of thought clinging to the physical body.

Even so, for ordinary physical human beings, getting that far takes tens or hundreds of thousands of years of reincarnation.

And in your world, the more suffering and sorrow you’ve had, the bigger a person you can become, and the kinder to yourself and others, right?

So the experiences of confusion and suffering from past lives up to today were by no means a meaningless detour—they were an indispensable, absolutely necessary process. (To be continued next time)
