Shedding Your Skin into True Happiness – 2
Published on Updated on
(Continued from last time)
Life in this world has the following meanings.
- Accumulating experiences of finding joy within limitation
- Accumulating experiences of drawing out and mastering the infinite wisdom that turns limitation into freedom
- Accumulating experiences in which you can be grateful for everything, even within limitation
- Accumulating experiences of finding the cause that kept you in limitation and shedding your skin to emerge from it
By accumulating experiences in which we find such positive meaning in life, our souls widen and we can be transformed into people of great capacity.
On the other hand, when such experiences are still few, it’s easy to be caught up in complaints, dissatisfaction, and a sense of lack, and you may feel as if you’re going round in the same place.
Even in that case, after returning to the other world, you’ll be reborn as a new person and continue learning.

In cases where you think, “I spare no effort to build a better life,” and yet feel, “My circumstances never change,” in many cases the energy of that effort is being misused.
It can be compared to shooting arrows at random.
When you shoot an arrow at a target, if you turn your consciousness to the center of the target and shoot with the correct form, even if you don’t hit the bull’s-eye, you can at least hit the edge of the target.
What’s important for that is to repeat that practice honestly and persistently.
What about when you keep shooting arrows without looking firmly at the center of the target and without practicing the correct form?
Sadly, in such cases, even if you shot ten thousand arrows, you’d be doing well to hit the target with even one.
What kind of effort is “the effort to build a better life”?
What kind of state is true happiness?
To shoot an arrow at “the center of the target called true happiness,” in what direction should you turn your consciousness, and with what form should you shoot?
