Shedding Your Skin into True Happiness – 3

Published on Updated on

(Continued from last time)

“The effort to build a better life” is the effort to live while understanding the characteristics of thoughts and the fundamental meaning of breathing, and handling consciousness and breathing correctly.

True happiness is a state of having mastered a firm view of the universe that isn’t swayed by changes in circumstances or the words and deeds of others.

To shoot the arrow of consciousness at “the center of the target of happiness,” thoroughly cultivate the basic form of the heart, that the sacred itself is your essence, fix your gaze firmly on the universal ideal of great harmony alone, and use your consciousness toward its center.

To put it simply in a word, it means handling consciousness correctly.

If you understand the characteristics of thoughts and keep practicing, without letting up, to handle your consciousness correctly moment by moment, anyone can surely gain a true sense of happiness that never wavers.

For that, use your consciousness in a way that connects to actual action in your heart and body.

You could also say, use your consciousness in a way that is accompanied by action.

If the thoughts, words, and actions you are sending out right now are not connected to actions that create the reality you desire, then, seen in the short term, it is a state of wasting life energy.

Seen from the standpoint of eternity, it is the figure of walking the necessary path you must pass through at each moment.

Here, let me tell you something fundamentally important.

The key to handling consciousness correctly is to build up thoughts, words, and deeds based on the sacred on top of a foundation: an initial setting of consciousness that has seen the truth of life clearly, such as “The true nature of me, ____, is sacred.”

The most important thing is who you recognize yourself to be in your everyday life.

If you recognize yourself as imperfect, weak, lowly, or separate from others, it’s hard to get out of the bottomless swamp of dualistic thinking.

But if the foundation of sacred recognition is firm, you can get out of any dark circumstances and stand in a world of only light.

In daily life, what do you accept as natural?

Look at that without pretending, wrap it in a loving heart rooted in the sacred, and hold it close.

The one who thinks good or bad, like or dislike, is not your true self.

Your true self embraces everything with a compassionate heart.

To reach that point, please keep practicing being grateful for everything, while carefully using your consciousness in the way described above.

Then you can surely make unshakable happiness your own.
