A Way of Living That Loves Yourself and Masters and Embodies Truth
Published on Updated on
★To truly love yourself
Truly loving yourself is an even more important matter of the heart than loving others.
The many religions and moral teachings in your world teach the importance of respecting and caring for others, but they haven’t said much about the matter of truly respecting and caring for yourself, have they?
Even where it is taught, it sometimes stops at protecting the individual self.
True religious people and true educators are those who help each person in humanity draw out their own life force, so that they establish their life by their own will, and who at the same time send out into the world people who can contribute to society as a whole.
It may still be rare to meet true religious people or educators in that sense.
So rather than only relying on others, the matter of relying on yourself and mastering truth of your own accord becomes important. Human beings are, by nature, life forms that need to establish and cultivate, as a priority, the consciousness of respecting and caring for themselves—even before respecting and caring for others.
Because people who can’t truly respect and care for themselves don’t understand how it feels to be respected and cared for, so they can’t respect and care for others from the bottom of their hearts either.
In that sense, you could say that the future course of human evolution in the Earth world depends on whether the truth about life spreads or not.

★To master and embody truth
It isn’t the case that everyone who wants to learn truth masters what they learn in the same way and makes use of it in their lives in the same way.
You could say the difference is whether or not they face their learning squarely and actively absorb and use it.
People who open the drawers of learning (life) within their hearts and take the initiative to learn (practice) without anyone telling them to keep acquiring more and more of the wisdom of life (truth) that is useful in life, and put it to practical use in their daily lives, don’t they?
On the other hand, people who try to learn with a passive attitude find, along the way, reasons why they can’t make the way of truth their own as they’d like, and want to blame others. So they tend to separate truth from themselves and make excuses for themselves.
As long as you are in that frame of mind, truth remains a sun shining far off in the sky, and no matter how far you reach out your hand, you can’t reach it.
It is no exaggeration at all to say that truth is, by nature, the very consciousness of humanity. It is the original nature of the human heart—the creative principle of the universe that you could call the very essence of life.
You understand as knowledge that the true nature human beings originally have is divinity itself, don’t you?
Even on the basis of such a shallow understanding, if you accept without the slightest doubt the real principle that “truth is the mind, and it is also the divine principle”—in Japanese, the words for truth, mind, and divine principle are all pronounced shinri—and melt your individual consciousness into the consciousness of truth, before you know it the Light of Life deep within your life and your ego will become one, and youcan manifest the divine principle in your own mind and body.
Look back at your own heart.
You can see, can’t you, that what is getting in the way of your becoming one with truth is nothing but thoughts thin in love that look down on yourself—”There’s no way someone like me could be a divine being. I’m bound to be imperfect.”
Learning and practicing truth means becoming true love itself.
You could also say it means knowing the Light of Life and becoming one with it.
The way for these words to truly sink in is to practice slow, relaxed breathing constantly.
If you continue to practice deep breathing, your consciousness will abide constantly in the vibrational sphere of divinity.
Whether you do it or not.
That is the fork in the road of destiny.
That crossroads is before you every single moment.
Facing that fork in the road, what will you choose, decide, and carry out?
At that time, if you have always loved yourself from the heart, you can choose the path that brings everything to life, without making a decision that hurts yourself or others, and go straight ahead toward truth.
May happiness be with your future.
