A Talk to Open When You Don’t Know What to Do with Your Consciousness (1/4)

★Let your thoughts turn to the true body of life

There are times when your thoughts get swayed by other people’s words and actions that you find unpleasant, and you don’t know what to do with them—”Ah, I’m hopeless. This won’t do, this won’t do. But what should I do…”—and you come to a standstill, aren’t there?

Today let’s talk about a special way of using consciousness that helps at times like that.

At such times, let your thoughts turn to your body of light (the innermost vibration of life, the consciousness of the universe itself), which lies even deeper than your spirit body and divine body (the bodies deep within your physical body). Once you can picture it, next, believe from the bottom of your heart and boldly declare, “I’m not living in a physical body—I’m living in a great body of light. I am the universe itself.”

There’s a word of truth in the world: “People become what they think they are.”

Make use of that law.

In truth, it isn’t a matter of declaring or not declaring, believing or not believing. Once you make the reality of life—spirit leads and body follows—your natural recognition, you’ll see that it is an entirely obvious fact.

Compared with the physical body, even the spirit body and divine body are incomparably vast. But if you trace all the way back to the ultimate source and origin of life, in that grandeur where self-belittling of any size or depth means nothing at all, your heart clears up as if the way you fretted over small things had never been.

That’s because you come to know the ultimate fact: “I myself was the universe itself—everything of everything.”

The “me as I appear,” recognized by the physical mind, may be a tiny consciousness (or rather, a lump of thoughts), but the “me as I truly am” is boundlessly vast—a cosmic consciousness that holds every galaxy within its body.

You were space itself, and the stars, and the power that keeps alive all living things in every heaven and earth, and the wind, and the water, and the land.

The truth of consciousness, the ultimate true heart and true body of life, is life vibrantly at work as the power that brings all things in creation into being and nurtures them.

When it appears in form, it appears shining as the infinite source of life that holds within its body countless hundreds of billions of galaxies—a light like sunlight raised to the power of hundreds of millions.

There’s the expression “dazzling,” but the light of the true heart and true body of human beings is a great light so brilliant you couldn’t keep your eyes open.

That is the original (true) form of the light of life within humanity. (To be continued next time)
