The Mindset for Building a New World – 3

Why We Must Make the Effort to Change Ourselves Before Changing Others
Earlier, on the question of how humanity should change its way of living, I said, “All of Earth’s humanity needs to remember the divinity that is the essence of their own life. And, with that consciousness, recognize divinity in everything. For that, first of all, before anything else, we need to recognize our own divinity as something natural.”
The reason we need to remember our own divinity and make it our natural recognition before casting love toward others, before standing beside others, is that human beings are creatures who, when they haven’t truly forgiven and loved themselves, inevitably have crooked waves of inner conflict and calculation stuck to their loving words and deeds, no matter how hard they try to express them.
That is why, before anything else, we need to forgive and love ourselves, stand beside ourselves, and let “the great light of life” spread throughout the whole of the darkness in our hearts.
People who can truly carry out and express love without any hidden side have no inner conflict at all in their hearts, or only very little.
Without the effort to update ourselves to such a state, no matter how hard we try to make the outer world better, it simply cannot get better.
Why? Because the world we recognize is, without exception, a projection of our inner universe.
The world’s humanity is within us.
There are many selves in our hearts.
Unless they go through the experience of melting into the divine self, most of them are waves of unresolved thoughts.
I call those various inner waves of thought “the humanity of the self,” and I turn the feelings I have about others back toward myself, find the two opposing selves, and embrace them.

The True Picture of What We Feel Outside
The two opposing selves are like this:
- A self who doesn’t accept yourself, and a self who isn’t accepted by yourself.
- A self who won’t forgive yourself, and a self who isn’t forgiven by yourself.
- A self who looks down on and tramples yourself, and a self who is looked down on and trampled by yourself.
- A self who doesn’t love yourself, and a self who isn’t loved by yourself.
- A self who dislikes yourself, and a self who is disliked by yourself.
In the hearts of people who haven’t fully returned to divine vibration, such opposing selves, a self acting like the one doing harm and a self acting like the victim, are generally scheming or crouching in the darkness deep in the heart.
They project this onto the world outside the physical body and, just as if looking in a mirror, hold impressions of the state of society and the words and deeds of others.
Turn those feelings back toward yourself.
That act is an act of shining the light of life into your heart.
By doing so, you can find the true cause of the disharmony you feel in the outer world.
Once you find it, there is no need to scheme about how to deal with it.
Just look at it.
Simply seeing both at the same time lets them be released.
The true cause of the disharmony of this world lay in the unconscious realm we could not recognize.
Just by looking at them, plus and minus come into balance, and we draw closer to a state of mind without attachment.
