A Grateful Heart That Widens the Consciousness of Love
Published on Updated on
The most important thing is for love to keep overflowing from your heart and body.
For that, always look back on your heart and your words and deeds, and reflect: “Am I living with a loving heart right now?”
For your heart to be love itself like that, practice thinking, “I am one with what I perceive with my five senses,” and make it your natural recognition.
And what’s even more fundamentally important is that, to make that “recognition of oneness” your natural state of heart, you stay in a consciousness of wholehearted gratitude.
If you live with a feeling of gratitude, “how grateful I am,” always welling up endlessly for everything, for every person, every creature, and nature, you can be said to be living with a heart of wholehearted gratitude.
The consciousness of gratitude is the very key to oneness.
A way of life of total gratitude is the secret to returning to the consciousness of oneness.
Gratitude deepens love.
Gratitude makes love bigger.
Gratitude makes love shine brighter.
If you spend your days that way, you’ll become a person of love whom no one can shake.

There are other wonderful things about a way of life of wholehearted gratitude too.
Living thinking nothing but “thank you” expands the range of your consciousness.
To put it simply, think of it as your body widening bigger and bigger.
It becomes the size of your house, the size of your neighborhood, the size of your prefecture or state, big enough to wrap your own country, a consciousness that sees Asia within it, and eventually a consciousness that feels Earth is yourself.
As you expand your vibrational sphere of consciousness like that, you’ll eventually reach “a great consciousness that sees Earth as if in the palm of its hand.”
Even if it doesn’t happen right away, you’ll surely arrive at that kind of consciousness someday.
And the important thing not to forget is that becoming such a great, great consciousness isn’t something that will happen for the first time from now on.
Because if you trace “the substance of life” that moves the living being called humanity all the way back to its root, it “arrives back at the great universe itself.”
If you let that truth of life drop deep into your consciousness and ferment, eventually a time will come when it gives off light and appears in your consciousness. (In Japanese, both are pronounced “hakkō.”)
In the same way, if you digest the knowledge you’ve learned with the light of life, someday it will be sublimated and come back as the evolution of your own consciousness. (In Japanese, both are pronounced “shōka.”)
Listen: make up your mind and give up on (see clearly; in Japanese, “akirameru” means both) the self you thought was you, realizing, “That wasn’t my real self after all.”
The timing has come to wake from the long dream in which you were convinced, and decided, that “that small body” was you.
Now is the hour of dawn for the world of Earth.
Earth’s humanity today is living at a time when it has to wake up from “the long dream of delusion” and get up.
“What happens if we don’t wake up?” you ask? Don’t worry.
You were sent to Earth precisely so that won’t happen, so there’s no way it will, is there?
You are on this planet now to lead Earth’s society to a stage one step higher.
Let’s remember the purpose for which we came to Earth, and live this very moment earnestly, making full use of life to the very end.
As long as you do that, the time will come when “earth-shaking events” greatly change the world of Earth.
