What Is a Genuine Axis of Self?
Published on Updated on
Are you growing yourself into someone that the people around you can’t help thinking, “I want to live like that person”?
But that isn’t a timid state of mind, worrying about how others see you, “Am I living correctly?”
It’s living with a genuine axis of self that isn’t swayed by anything or anyone.
If you live that way, you can naturally live by the axis of self that is inherent in life.

When a true axis of self is established in the heart, a person’s heart no longer wavers at anyone’s reaction, right?
There’s no need to hide yourself as you happen to be for fear of how others see you, either.
That’s the figure of “as you happen to be” integrated and absorbed into “as you truly are.”
Then a person can live shining naturally, just as the sun radiates its great light without discrimination.
The big-picture self watching from deep within, and the local self on the surface being watched.
Which one is your consciousness in?
If you can look down on both of them, you’ve as good as grasped a genuine axis of self.
Because that’s a consciousness that holds both the consciousness of the created and the consciousness of the creator, existing at the same time, in the palm of its hand and observes them as a whole.
