The Truth About What You Think of as “Now”

Today, let’s talk about “the true now.”

We may have talked about this before, but the people of Earth have far too shallow a perception of “now”, as in “here and now” or “this very moment.” Or rather, they only see it flatly.

You don’t really get what we mean?

Then let’s be more concrete. What you generally associate with the word “now” is something like this:

• The situation occurring at this very moment, the now the hands of the clock are pointing to
• Events happening right before your eyes
• Phenomena appearing at this moment

You sense these with your five senses and think of them as “now,” right?

For example, let’s see: “Just now, North Korea has launched a missile toward Japan. We will report further as details come in.”

Many people probably define “now” on the basis of such objective events.

Do you think, “Isn’t that obvious?”

But unfortunately, not a single one of those is “the true now.”

Before explaining “the true now” concretely, let’s talk about the truth of what you think of as now.

In a word, all of it is “the past.”

This is important, so we’ll say it plainly: you, the people of Earth, have been grabbing hold of “the past” and believing, without a doubt, that it was “now.”

We’ll say it once more: what you thought was “now” was “the past.”

Why do we say so firmly? Because what is appearing “now” as an individual’s destiny, and the events appearing “now” as the state of the world, are things already completed by the past thoughts, words, and deeds of Earth’s humanity, now rising to the surface.

To put it another way, there are movies, right? You see them at the movie theater, don’t you? You can see them because they’re projecting film that someone somewhere has already finished shooting.

All events and destinies are like that: things already completed only look as if they’re happening “now”; they are merely the appearance of what was settled long ago by thoughts, words, and deeds.

By the law of the world you call “this world,” there is an effect because there is a cause. There’s no effect without a cause.

That’s why the people who noticed this first say things like “There are no coincidences” or “Everything is inevitable.”
