(Continued from last time)

★Have the courage not to fear the friction your actions create

And this goes for any event in any situation: you need to take to heart that if you’re afraid of friction and conflict of various emotional thoughts with the people around you, you can’t accomplish anything.

Until an age comes when everyone’s heart remembers its divinity and everything goes smoothly in harmony, you need enough courage to think nothing of a little friction.

For example, if you can’t go forward without passing through a muddy road, you just have to make up your mind and step into the mud, right?

Then even if your feet get dirty for a while, you can move forward, right?

And dirty feet only need to be washed.

The same goes for small everyday things that have nothing to do with big dreams or projects.

For example, at home, suppose a wife has a habit of her husband’s that she really wants him to stop, partly for the sake of the children’s upbringing.

For example, coming home from work and taking off his socks and shirt and leaving them lying around wherever.

In such a case, if it’s a home with just the two of them, and the wife can personally forgive her husband’s habit and accept it with a laugh, it’s fine for her just to quietly tidy up after him. But when there are small children, the children might copy the habit, so there are times when she has to point it out to her husband, right?

At such times, depending on the everyday relationship between husband and wife, the wife may be holding back and not saying what she wants to say to her husband.

For example, when the husband’s words and actions tend to be self-centered in daily life.

Pointing something out to a person like that, who easily gets emotional as soon as you tell them something, takes a lot of courage. But from a parent’s heart wishing their child to learn the right common sense in daily habits, wanting her husband to “please change” such “sloppy behavior” is a perfectly reasonable feeling.

At such times, before getting emotional and nagging your husband, first calmly look at why he behaves that way.

Maybe his parents didn’t teach him properly, or maybe his parents did teach him, but he picked up sloppy habits while living alone before marriage.

Either way, thinking of your own children’s future, parents showing them such behavior teaches the children, “Doing it like that is normal,” so as parents, the behavior has to change.

When teaching and advising such a husband, with that kind of consideration for him and with the child’s future in view, it’s good to speak to him in an embracing way: “For our child’s future, let’s work together as parents and show them how things ought to be.” (To be continued)
