In the Age of Letting Go of the False Self
Published on Updated on
It goes without saying, but people who are respected by others spend their days respecting themselves, and people who are cherished by others also live quietly cherishing themselves.
Some of these people do so consciously, and some do so unconsciously.
But either way, they’re living with care for themselves; that doesn’t change.
Only people who don’t understand this carry complexes in their dealings with others and feel ill at ease.
When you feel you’re not being respected or cherished by others, you may have forgotten, just a little, to forgive and love yourself.
You could also call it a state of not yet having remembered your own sacredness.
Many people on Earth, without realizing it, live looking down on themselves.
That’s the reality of the self-limitation and self-denial that cover up humanity’s sacredness.
I always say it’s good to keep asking yourself questions like “Who am I?” and to bring the actual state of your answers (your recognition) closer to the truth of life, right?
Who on earth is the self you should cherish?
If you can tell the genuine from the fake, you can express the light of life correctly and live innocently.
But people who can’t tell them apart grab hold of the assumptions, snap judgments, fixations, and attachments of karmic consciousness and firmly believe “this is who I am,” so they suffer, unable to get out of the world of dualistic opposition.
No matter how lofty the ideals you live by, however much you arm yourself with pride, unless you grasp your real self, your true self, a person just runs this way and that in a swamp of suffering.

Find your real self.
For that, you need to let go of and throw away the self that isn’t.
Where do you let it go and throw it away?
That’s exactly what I always call handing it over to your Guardian Deities and Spirits.
Me, my, by myself, for me….
Isn’t it about time you tried letting go of thinking that the assumptions, snap judgments, fixations, and attachments that aren’t your genuine self are you?
I always say every human being is the light of life, right?
As long as you live taking the light of life as yourself, suffering and worry disappear, and you can live bright, innocent days.
True human consciousness is the sun shining in the sky of the heart.
That’s exactly what we always call the light of life.
What you had been convinced was you is the rain clouds floating in the sky of your heart.
It’s okay now; you don’t have to grab hold of such insubstantial illusions, which would drift away and vanish if left alone, and clutch them, saying, “This is who I really am.”
You know what the ground looks like when dark rain clouds hang thick over it just by looking at the weather in this world.
The weather of the heart is exactly the same.
“You need not darken your own heart and then lament, ‘It’s dark, it’s dark.’
Your true self is not so frail as that.”
You can hear that counsel from the sun (light) of life coming from deep in your heart, can’t you?
The only one who can change you is you.
When you truly change, your world actually changes.
As such people increase, the whole world of Earth becomes filled with light.
Let that true path to a new age shine brightly in your heart, and spend this timely season of raising yourself, cherishing each moment.
Then the sun of your heart will shine brilliantly across it, and you’ll step up into someone who can look back with a little chuckle at your past self who lived fretting and worrying round and round.
