The Evolution of Science and the Divinization of the Heart – 1

In the Very Midst of the Changing Times

I think many of you already feel it, but as of 2023, the times are moving at a speed too fast for the eye to follow.

This change became marked from around the middle of the 20th century, and from a little after 2010, a great many more people have come to feel it.

Then, what concretely is changing about the times?

What does it mean for the times to move (to shift and change)?

Let’s pursue it further.

What is it whose change is most marked?

Conversely, what is it that is slow to change?

And is there anything that does not change, no matter how much the times change?

When we turn our thoughts to this, what comes to mind as the prime example of something changing markedly is probably “the progress of science and technology.”

And what comes to mind, with a sense of frustration, as the prime example of something slow to change is the habits of thought of humanity.

I will talk about what does not change later.

Some of you may have thought of various other things as well, but here I will proceed with the talk centering on what I have just mentioned.

Let’s look at the real world.

Science and technology keep advancing, yet humanity’s consciousness is slow to change.

Please picture what could happen to a star in such a situation.

Those of you reading this web page are all old souls, so some of you may be picturing teeth-gnashing experiences of regret that you went through many times somewhere in your past lives.

Past Failures and Blueprints of the Future

Before we came to Earth, there were cases in which, through the progress of science and technology brought about by humanity’s self-centeredness, a planet itself collapsed and became debris of the universe. (The asteroid belt (fragments of an exploded star) that exists unnaturally between Mars and Jupiter is the closest example of this.)

In the ancient times of this star, too, there were cases where, in a similar situation, though it didn’t go as far as the planet exploding, a civilization itself was destroyed.

Some of you may have memories of having experienced one of those for real, at that place and time.

Others may have seen or heard of it from a distant place or age.

In any case, Earth today stands at an important crossroads where it can learn from such past examples of failure and choose a different future.

Just to be sure, let me say that the word “failure” I just used is a word from the standpoint of Earth’s humanity, which has not yet fully graduated from dualistic values.

When seen with the consciousness of divinity, which has entered deep into life, it is not called failure.

Whatever happens, it is nothing more than the process of evolution of the people registered on that planet.

For Earth’s future, there are many blueprints.

Each blueprint changes moment by moment; none is a fixed future.

Then what should we do to make the future better?

It is for the humanity living now to express divinity in their thoughts, words, and deeds every day, every moment.

That is all there is to it.

If you look in detail there is no end to it, but broadly speaking, there are two kinds of future for the world of Earth.

A future in which humanity does not turn its thoughts to the awakening of divinity and does not change its way of living, and a future in which humanity steers toward awakening its divinity and keeps updating its way of living.
