Empathy and the Sensor for Realizations

Published on Updated on

When you listen to someone talk, you have all kinds of impressions, right?

“That was a good talk.”

“That was a boring talk.”

“This person is only talking from knowledge.”

“This person is the real thing,” “a fake.”

“That talk hit a little close to home,” and so on.

But you know, take a moment right there to look back and think.

If, after hearing someone’s talk, you unconsciously think, “But that’s only that person’s ideas and experience; it has nothing to do with me,” and never put it into practice in your own life, that would be a waste of a precious lesson, wouldn’t it?

What matters is that when you hear a good talk, you practice putting it into action in your own life and make it your own.

The truths and wisdom of life don’t only appear in your own intuition.

Truth and wisdom can be received from other people’s talks, of course, but also from casual conversations with people close to you, from a story you happen to see on TV, from a passage in a book you read, and from contact with nature.

In that sense, everything is a teacher and a mirror.

The higher-performing your sensor for realizations is, the more everything becomes material for polishing and raising yourself.

And if you live with an open, unprejudiced heart and have a consciousness that finds lessons in everything, life turns into a treasure chest of realizations.

Then every day becomes a series of realizations.

At that time, you can live each moment with excitement and a pounding heart, thrilled at meeting the new realizations you’re sure to encounter today too.
