Self-Affirmation Based on the Sacred
Published on Updated on
Among people who champion positive thinking, there’s a word they like to use: “self-affirmation.”
It’s said to be an indispensable guide for consciousness so that people can live with bright hearts.
But can everyone simply saying “I’m fine the way I am” really be called true self-affirmation?
You, who live aiming for the revival of the sacred, I want you to look deeply at that point once more.
Like this: “True self-affirmation… what is genuine self-affirmation?”
I always say:
“Explore the essence of life, asking, ‘What am I?'”
“The fundamentally important thing for human beings to live with their lives shining… distinguish the sacred from thoughts that aren’t, hand over the thoughts that aren’t to your Guardian Deities and Spirits, and actively express sacred thoughts, words, and deeds in yourself.”
“If you live throwing the small lump of thoughts called ‘me’ into a great consciousness like the prayer for world peace, before you know it the habit (habitual thought) of fretting and worrying over small things will disappear.”

Not knowing who you really are, unable to discern whether your thoughts are sacred, always living self-centeredly with “me, my, by myself, for me,” and yet affirming what you’re doing, can be called a “don’t” that hinders the evolution of consciousness.
So the word “self-affirmation” isn’t a way of using consciousness that applies to people at every level of consciousness.
For people who use their consciousness in the basic ways I just mentioned, “exploring the essence of life,” “reflecting on your own thoughts and tuning them to the sacred,” “making a great consciousness like the prayer for world peace standard equipment in your own consciousness,” you could say “true self-affirmation” is an important lesson of consciousness that can’t be avoided.
In every human being dwell infinite wisdom and abilities based on the sacred, and the power to make every impossibility possible.
True self-affirmation based on the sacred will be a great help to you in reviving that infinite power.
Apply that to yourself and reflect on it carefully.
Then a self-affirmation that will never go backward will become your own.
