To Remove Crime from the Earth (Part 1)

★Acts of Violence Are Carried Out When the Heart Has Merged with Darkness

Among the news on Earth I see through the screen of your consciousness, there are various incidents reported of actions taken in cases where the radiance of life does not appear at all, because the heart has been afflicted by sickness (darkness). (In Japanese, “darkness” and “sickness” are both pronounced “yami.”)

For example, if thoughts cross someone’s mind like wanting to hurt others simply because things don’t go their way, or wanting to kill someone out of curiosity, that alone means that light no longer reaches their heart, and they are in a very painful state.

And if such thoughts even slip out of their mouth, you could say it is a very precarious state, in which the radiance of life can hardly be seen at all.

And if they go further and carry it out, actually taking another’s life, they will live the rest of their life carrying a very heavy burden.

Because all their time will be taken up by how much they can reduce the minus, living a life spent entirely on atonement.

It means living while carrying a great debt of life, which they repay little by little over a long time.

Seen from the standpoint of the law of life, it also means that the seed of life remains buried in the ground, deprived of the chance to bathe in sunlight, and a time in which life can’t be put to use continues for as long as they live.

Though the one who brought it about was none other than the offender themselves.

Such acts of violence are carried out when a heart that has forgotten the light of life has completely merged with darkness.

★At the Present Spiritual Level, It Is Better to Have the Death Penalty

In our view, there are cases where a person can recover faster by washing their life clean again in the other world. But on today’s Earth, from a humanitarian standpoint, the path of atoning and rehabilitating while alive is valued, and in many cases the burden on the soul of the person who committed murder doesn’t easily lift.

And if the countries of the world proceed with executions suspended, the burden on prisons will grow, and society as a whole may end up supporting it.

If that happens, other problems will arise, but that strays from the point of today’s talk, so I’ll save it for another time.

If I were to tell you just one thing we can see, it is that as long as human consciousness remains at its present spiritual level, the death penalty system also has an aspect that leads to the salvation of the soul.

But what choice to make is for your consciousness to decide, so we can’t say anything at all that would force it. (Continued next time)
