Constant Gratitude and Deep Breathing Nurture the Bird’s-Eye View

Published on

Do you know what matters most for living through the times ahead?
Did you think, “Keeping a bird’s-eye view?”
Yes, that is very important too.
But you know, there is something even more fundamental that comes before it.

When you stop repeating the same thoughts over and over, that is a sign your consciousness is changing.
For that, it is good to look at yourself from a bird’s-eye perspective.
But do you think you can do that all of a sudden?

If everyone could easily look at themselves from a bird’s-eye perspective, this world would have become a peaceful world long ago, wouldn’t it?
Because people can’t do that, everyone lives drowning in their own selfish thoughts.

To come to feel, “Those selfish thoughts were never my true self,” there are stages you have to pass through.
It’s true of anything: you have to build from the foundation up.

Think of building a house and you’ll understand.
Even if someone says, “Let’s make a beautiful room,” without a foundation it just isn’t possible.
Without a foundation, you can’t raise the pillars, and you can’t build a roof or a ceiling either.

So what should you do to build the foundation of your heart?
It isn’t anything difficult.
It’s something you have already heard many times.

It is important to keep asking yourself, “What am I?”
But before that, there is something you can do in every moment of daily life.
Unceasing gratitude and slow breathing.
Do this all the time, around the clock.

But you know, if you don’t truly mean to change yourself, then even gratitude and slow breathing won’t be put into action, even if you understand in your head that they are “good things.”
To put them into action, you need to make a firm resolve: “I want to change. I will change. I will surely change.”
How many times in a lifetime do you think people firm up their resolve like that, and make a decision like leaping across to another trapeze in mid-air?
Once or twice at most?
That’s right. In the world up to now, few people took on a big challenge by making such a big decision.
But is it really right to think, “Nobody else does it, so I don’t have to either”?

What matters is to keep thinking, “Thank you,” “Thank you,” “Thank you.”
It isn’t something you say only when someone has done something kind for you.
Even when no one has done anything for you, you keep actively expressing feelings of gratitude on your own.

And one more thing: to encourage the dimensional ascension of mind and body, calm, unhurried breathing is essential.
As you slow your breathing, your consciousness settles in the tanden, and the resonance of the universe, the resonance of your Higher Self, and your own resonance come together as one.
That is where your true self appears.

To put it in the extreme, simply by keeping a calm, unhurried rhythm of breathing all the while you are awake, a person can achieve the evolution of consciousness without even noticing.

Only after building up gratitude and calm breathing in this way does the bird’s-eye view finally come to you.
If you could see from a bird’s-eye view just by thinking, “Let’s look from above,” no one would have any trouble, right?
The reason so many people can’t do it is that they were stretching up on tiptoe, trying to move to the bird’s-eye seat right away, before a solid foundation of the heart had even been built.

Holding high ideals is a wonderful thing.
But things are set up so that you can’t reach the ideal state in a single leap.
No one can jump up, in one bound, a staircase of a thousand steps leading to the main hall of a shrine, right?
You climb one step and then another, treading firmly with each step at your feet, don’t you?

What you are meant to accomplish in life is exactly the same.
Put your strength into what you can do now.
Do your very best.
And in this very moment, make full use of your life and live it earnestly to the end.
That’s all.

What matters is now.
Live this very moment with your life shining.
If you do, the perspective of the divine realm will surely open up right before your eyes.
