A Talk for Transcending the Pressing Challenges Each Person Faces (Part 2)

★How to stay in the consciousness of truth
So let us teach you a way to hold your will firm and stay in the consciousness of truth at such times.
First, find a space where you can be completely alone. If you can sit in seiza (kneeling), do so; if that’s difficult, sit on a chair, and straighten your spine vertically.
Then push the area around the sacrum and the base of the lumbar spine firmly forward, as if someone were pressing it with their hand from behind, while at the same time pulling your lower belly in so far that it almost touches your back, lifting your internal organs. Do both at once.
At that time, it’s good to imagine that your consciousness, let’s say, your eyes, ears, face, and the head of your spirit body, has settled inside your lower belly and is sensing everything from there.
Keep your spine straight so that the crown of your physical body points straight up, relax your shoulders, draw your chin in slightly, and keep your breathing slow and easy.
What happens when you do this? How many minutes it takes differs from person to person, but your physical body becomes one with heaven and earth and the universe, your consciousness connects straight to the heaven deep in your heart (the source of life), and the great light of the infinite light of life flows into your body from the crown of your head, passes through your tailbone, and reaches the center of the Earth.
And the other way around, the energy of the earth also rises through your body to the source of life. So your mind and body come to work as a base for the exchange of the Light of Life from heaven to earth and from earth to heaven, and in the dimension where your consciousness now is, you radiate that great Light of Life sideways too, forward and back, left and right. Your mind and body also take on the role of an important base that spiritualizes the whole Earth’s world.
Oh, and if you’re standing, it flows through the soles of your feet.
In that state, your consciousness becomes an unshakable heart that isn’t confused or moved by anything or anyone.
It also makes your physical body, as a material body, firm and strong, so that while you’re in that state, you won’t budge even if someone suddenly pushes you from the side.
And needless to say, at that time you are of course keeping up deep breathing.

To add an important point about breathing once more: for the very first breath, start by breathing out all the residual air stored in your lungs that normally never leaves.
Even when you think, “I can’t, there’s nothing left,” if you tighten your lower belly like wringing out a hand towel, there’s still air left in your lungs that comes out.
That residual air can be one of the factors behind problems of mind and body, so if you do this once a day, it will encourage the metabolism of your mind and body and help you keep them sound and healthy.
When you do it truly seriously, so much residual air comes out that you’ll be amazed: “I had this much air stored up in my lungs?”
Then, after that, slowly fill your lungs with air, and when you correctly keep up the state of deep breathing out, the out-breath goes on and on so long that it feels like it might never end.
And once you’ve learned this way of breathing, you’ll probably notice that breathing deeply afterward has become much easier.
As for how to breathe out: if you can keep breathing out through your nose, that’s good, but we’ll add that at first it’s easier to purse your lips and breathe out a little at a time while controlling it.
In actual time it differs from person to person, but it may be two to three minutes, around five minutes, or even longer for some people.
Many people usually repeat breathing in and out at intervals of less than five seconds, and the reason their breathing grows so long with this method shows how much residual air had been left stored in their lungs.
And when you steep your mind and body in that state, you can clearly realize that the emotional thoughts stuck to your physical body aren’t actually your true self at all, but illusions that arose and became habits in an age when the truth of life had been completely forgotten.
