A Review of the Basic Way to Learn the Truth (Part 1)
Published on Updated on
Just like the process of a small child learning to speak, to make the truth part of your mind and body it’s good to take it in step by step: “living by tracing the words of truth,” “living by imitating the words of truth,” and “living the truth that wells up from within.”
Anyone who has raised children will understand: children may differ in how quickly they catch on, but they all have the ability to absorb and learn what they don’t yet know.
In the same way, you people of Earth can absorb the truth you’d forgotten and embody it more and more.
In arithmetic, too, you learn numbers, learn to write them, and once you can write two- and three-digit numbers, you go on to learn addition and subtraction. In the same way, in how you live as a human being, it’s good to gradually raise the level of truth and learn what divinity is through your own experience.

Among all of this, the easiest thing that anyone can do, and yet actually the deepest, is to live expressing a heart of gratitude.
“Thank you” is a simple word anyone can say once they’ve been taught it, right?
But if there’s a gap between the words of thanks coming out of a person’s mouth and what they’re thinking in their heart, then however fitting the words of thanks may sound, they can hardly be said to express true gratitude.
With skillful acting, you might fool people in the physical world, but you can’t fool your own true heart (divine consciousness).
When someone is in that state, the Higher Self (the high Deity within), in order to gently make them notice the gap in how they are, has that physical human experience a reality that doesn’t go the way they want, and tries to have them correct the gap in the state of their heart.
What do you think most physical humans feel at such times?
That’s right: suffering.
The frustration and worries people feel in social life when things don’t go their way can all be called challenges to overcome that they are giving themselves in order to grow their own consciousness. (To be continued)
