To Those Whose Present Isn’t the Future They Pictured, Yet Whose Light of Hope Hasn’t Dimmed and Shines in the Sky of Their Heart Brighter Than Ever (Part 1)

★ Destiny and consciousness

Today let’s talk with a focus on creating your own personal destiny.

If your present isn’t the future you pictured, and yet your light of hope hasn’t dimmed and keeps shining in the sky of your heart even more brightly than before, then just by changing the length of your breath and the way you use your consciousness, you can unfold the sure future you pictured in the real world.

You know, without anyone having to teach you, that it’s important to live with hope and to affirm yourself—to acknowledge yourself before anyone else does.

But when you look around your world, why do you think it is that, even though they have hope, some people can surely build the future they picture and some can’t, and some people affirm themselves and some don’t?

This is extremely important for making life meaningful, and yet a surprising number of people live with it completely dropped out of their awareness, leaving it vague and unattended.

For people in a state where they can’t live as they wish, their thoughts are separated from the consciousness of life (divinity), or the angle of their self-affirming recognition is off, so they end up protecting themselves or going on the defensive, and keep repeating days that don’t go the way they want.

Watching such people, even though it’s because the timing hasn’t come yet, they are using their time in a truly wasteful way.

People who can’t hold any hope at all to begin with can start by holding hope for the future. But for people who hold hope and still can’t make it real, there is a reason—or a cause—for why they can’t.

And if you can find that cause yourself and realize, “Oh, so that’s it. I should have done such-and-such,” then anyone can graduate from going around in circles and shift to a creative life.

Looked at in detail, what each person needs to realize differs infinitely from person to person. But looking at the broad tendency, we can say that the angle and dimension from which they send out their consciousness are not right.

For those thinking, “Here they go again with the abstract talk,” let us explain. The angle from which you send out consciousness means the kind and tendency of your thoughts toward achieving what you picture. Roughly speaking, it’s the difference between sending out consciousness while thinking, “It might not work,” and using your consciousness while thinking, “I’ll definitely see this through,” or “There’s nothing I can’t do if I try.”

And the dimension from which you send out consciousness, broadly divided, is whether it is dualistic thinking stuck to the physical body, or thinking that has transcended dualistic opposition and is connected to the source of life.

For example, take the self-affirmation we just mentioned. Self-affirmation that covers up your mistakes and weaknesses with thoughts stuck to the physical body is clearly different from self-affirmation that, rooted in divinity, recognizes the infinite possibilities within you and affirms the self that is moving in the direction of expressing the all-knowing, all-powerful nature of life.

Do you see?

Hmm… what words might express “the angle and dimension of consciousness” in a way you’d understand?

Oh, I know—mindset.

The proper angle and dimension for sending out consciousness corresponds, you could say, to this mindset.

If you look up “mindset,” you’ll find something like, “a way of thinking or state of mind formed by past experience and education, preconceptions, unspoken assumptions, beliefs and convictions, values, and so on.”

We sum all of that up simply and say, “It’s important to overwrite and save your ‘habits of thought rooted in your consciousness’ with divine consciousness.”

A state in which you can’t live as you wish is a state in which your habits of thought are preventing you from living as you wish.

That’s the kind of case we mean when we say, “The angle and dimension from which you send out consciousness are not right.”

Though some people may not want to admit it. (To be continued next time)
