On Putting Religion to New Use (Part 1)

★How It Came to Be Recognized That Religion Can Serve Peace

One of the views of this planet shared by the people of stars other than Earth used to be, “True peace will not come to Earth unless religion is done away with.”

Why the past tense? Because in the last ten years or so there has been a new development in the world of religion on Earth that had never happened before, and seeing this year’s movements, religion was recognized as effective as one means of building peace. So the view that religion is an obstacle to peace was withdrawn for now, and it was agreed to watch how each religion goes.

To explain how it came about: the former elder of Venus, who in ancient times led many people of Venus to develop Earth, guided Earth’s humanity many times in the past as a saint, and now directs the stars from the world of the source of the universe as a Deity of the highest order, proposed, out of loving thought, a way to make use of the various religions still practiced today for the sake of peace on Earth. Religious leaders of all kinds from around the world agreed and took part, and in view of that activity taking root on Earth, it began to be recognized by the stars too as one activity for bringing peace to Earth. The people of each star also actually took part in the activity spiritually, and it came to be widely recognized among the Cosmic Humanity that religion can be used for the revival of the divinity of Earth’s humanity without being dismantled. It was given their seal of approval.

★The Real Problems of Religion

As a practical matter, there are still many religions that have strayed from what religion originally is.

In your world, even extremist ideologies that misuse religious thought to dominate the masses are sometimes taken as religion, right?

Those are not really religion at all. But take the extremist ideology called IS, for example: it’s said to have been driven back in Iraq and elsewhere, but unless a fortress of true peace is built in the hearts of all of Earth’s humanity, there’s no guarantee that the same kind of extremist ideology won’t spread again in various parts of the world.

Put another way, peace in this world can’t possibly hold unless the hearts of the inhabitants of the other world close to the physical world are also made peaceful.

Because it’s no exaggeration to say that such extremist ideologies and inhumanly brutal atrocities are all carried out by people who are manipulated or taken over by such creatures of the astral world.

That’s exactly why, and also so that you don’t become like that yourselves, I keep telling you until I’m blue in the face, “Don’t hand over the authority of your own life to anything else.”
