On Examining the Heart (Part 1)
Published on Updated on
★Let’s can examine our own hearts
When trying to cure an illness, from the doctor’s side, they first examine the patient and grasp the present situation, decide on the necessary treatment, and only then begin treatment, right?
No doctor treats someone at random without knowing what’s wrong, or gives a patient whatever treatment they ask for without carefully checking whether it’s appropriate.
But when people are on the patient’s side, many lose sight of the need for a proper examination beforehand and just want to be healed and treated as quickly as possible.
What we want to say is that jumping straight at a treatment that’s said to be good, without a correct grasp of the present situation, tends to become a detour on the way to healing.
And people who aim for the evolution of consciousness, or who wish to be happy, tend to do the same thing as those patients.
If you understand why your present situation is as it is and how you came to be in it, you can find the way to a fundamental solution yourself and walk in that direction on your own feet. But if you shortcut that process and try to reach the goal all at once, or leave the examination of your heart to others and try to evolve your consciousness the easy way without realizing yourself what went wrong, in the end you don’t reach a fundamental solution, the same life issues (problems) come to the surface again later, and it becomes easy to repeat the same suffering.

Also, jumping at some remedy without knowing your own tendencies is like shooting arrows at a target while blindfolded, so you can’t get practical results. Wrapped in dissatisfied thoughts like “this doesn’t work, that doesn’t work either,” you end up just repeating the cycle of grabbing at every method said to be good, one after another, and giving up halfway.
Having come this far, it’s become clear what each individual should do, hasn’t it?
What you should do on this star in the 21st century is to lift yourself up, and to clean up the garbage in your heart that you scattered yourself.
Whatever the trigger, when you feel suffering about something and are being swept along by those emotional thoughts, you can say the key to getting out of it lies not in something else but in how you use your own consciousness.
So even if you rely on something else and the situation seems to get better for a while, the root cause hasn’t gone away, so the same suffering tends to show its face again someday.
Saying this may sound harsh, but it’s a fact that applies to every person on Earth.
No one can achieve your evolution of consciousness for you, and if you skip the self-examination of your heart, you can’t find the right way to bring your present situation toward harmony either.
Your own best doctor is your own divine consciousness.
There is no other truth. (To be continued)
