How to Use the Conscious Resources You Have Now and Expand Their Domain (Part 1)

Published on Updated on

The Cause When You Feel Stuck in Days of Aiming for Conscious Evolution

Aiming for the evolution of consciousness, thinking you’ll change yourself, want to change, want to be changed, have you ever felt you can’t change at all, or that the threshold is too high?

Worries like that arise because there’s something unreasonable, wasteful, or reckless in the way you use your conscious resources.

“Conscious resources” in this case means your surface consciousness and your habitual thoughts; simply put, the self you think of as yourself.

Seen from the side of divinity, the domain of a consciousness that hasn’t fully evolved is very narrow.

So you’re kept busy juggling scarce conscious resources, can’t use them as you’d like, and end up tormented by negative thoughts like the ones I mentioned at the beginning.

To express the surface consciousness whose divinity hasn’t been developed from a different angle, you could call it “limited resources destined to fade away.” You try to change all those limited resources at once, or take up the challenge thinking you can change them in one go, so you feel a sense of failure, or your thoughts are ruled by the resignation of being stuck.

As a practical matter, that’s reckless, a wasted resistance, far too forced, so the self-consciousness in the latent domain puts a stop to it, and in the end it often bears no fruit. That’s what happens.

How Conscious Resources Are Used in Daily Life

In daily life, even if you try to take your time carefully so that doesn’t happen and stay in a state of consciousness that isn’t swept along by habits of thought, there are times when you need to make split-second judgments and can’t afford to, right?

If anything, conscious resources are more often used for things where you have to judge quickly, snap, snap, snap. So even if you try to turn your few remaining conscious resources toward showing divinity, it’s like a drop of water on a hot stone, and the result tends to be that you don’t get much out of it.

Eventually, when more than half of your surface consciousness enters the conscious domain of divinity, then, as expressed in the words “form is emptiness, emptiness is form,” it becomes clear that the world you thought existed was an illusion, and the world you thought didn’t exist was the true reality. You’re no longer bound by the restrictions of the finite world (the phenomenal world), so your domain of consciousness expands hundreds or thousands of times beyond what it was when you believed the physical body was yourself, and from then on you can use your thoughts freely (it becomes like a small car fitted with a large car’s engine). But until you get there, you have to make efficient use of the limited conscious resources you have now. That’s the point. (Continued next time)
