A Talk to Open When You Don’t Know What to Do with Your Consciousness (3/4)

★Everything was a manifestation of the universe within

There’s a Japanese saying, “pushing against a shop curtain”—like punching a pillow.

In the same way, when the vibrational sphere of your consciousness becomes large, you stop reacting in the way the other person enjoys, so you become someone not worth lashing out at, and gradually they stop throwing rough thoughts at you.

As that happens, you begin to see what the other person was really asking for.

And once you understand what they were really asking for, that person is transformed into someone you can love.

Now, with the very eyes of the universe itself, which brings everything into being and keeps it alive, look into the heart of that person whom you created.

At what that person was really asking for…

Gaze at it quietly, very, very quietly.

You’re starting to see it, aren’t you?

That’s right.

They were asking for love.

That person can’t love themselves, so, using surface negative emotions as a hook, they were only knocking and knocking on the door of your heart: “Give me love, give me love.”

That person didn’t know how to handle their own thoughts, so they relied on you, with whom they have a deep connection, and were only asking for love in a rough way, or with a way of treating you that lacked consideration.

In truth, no one can be truly loved by others unless they truly love themselves.

And yet, because everyone has completely forgotten the truth of life and has spent years without any chance of being taught it, there are people—understandable for the young, but even among older people—who, while putting on a show of being rude to others, cling to the feet of gentle-looking people and unconsciously, one-sidedly ask for help: “Please understand me,” “Please acknowledge me,” “Please love me.”

Seen from another angle, such people are rude and trouble others because they are in a “state of confusion of consciousness” that they can’t control on their own.

It’s like rampaging around with the five senses paralyzed so that they can feel nothing. When they bump into the people around them, they neither see nor hear it, and they have no sense of touch, smell, or taste either, so they can’t even think, “I’m sorry I bumped into you.”

But when the person being asked for help can’t stand firmly in the consciousness of the divine realm, they too don’t know what to do, and both sometimes go down together.

To explain that state with another example: people who have been shipwrecked at sea are floating on the water waiting for a rescue ship; someone exhausted from staying afloat by their own strength clings to another person to save themselves, and the person being clung to can no longer stay afloat under the weight, and both drown together.

What we’d like you to remember here is the truth of taking things as your own matter—”what you feel about others is within yourself”—the talk about the law of the mirror.

Whether it’s reversed or not differs each time, but what you feel about others is within yourself. While seeming to think things about the other person—that they’re pleasant or unpleasant—you’re actually projecting something caused within yourself onto them, and were only judging yourself.

Seen that way, you can see that when you think something about someone, the cause isn’t in them; the cause is the likes and dislikes, attachments, fixations, and assumptions within you, which you were projecting onto others and seeing there. (To be continued next time)
