The Difference between “New Birth” and a “Walk-In”

What we call “being reborn while still alive” can be summed up in the words “new birth.”

As something that sounds similar, there’s a phenomenon called a “walk-in” that sometimes comes up in spiritual circles.

They understand it as “souls switching places while the person is still alive.”

But strictly speaking, there are few cases where souls have really switched.

What do I mean? I once told you that “in being born into the physical body of this life, most people are born as composite spirits, carrying several spiritual lineages,” didn’t I?

For example, most people live in a form where people of the spiritual world, B, C, and D, are bundled together as the soul of a person called A and born as a single human being.

To roughly explain the pattern of how they’re bundled into a single soul, a relatively high-natured spirit person and two or three spirit people who take quite a lot of looking after are blended in just the right proportions and born.

In that case, if the personality and humanity that first showed were mainly B, it’s not uncommon for C or D to come to the surface later.

But that’s a completely different story from the “new birth” we recommend.

What we call “new birth” means, literally, “living anew,” in the sense of “living anew with a consciousness in which divinity has been revived.”

In terms of the composite spirits I just mentioned, it’s neither A, B, C, nor D, but “a state in which a completely fresh A, in whom the respective qualities of B, C, and D have been integrated and harmonized as a being of ‘one life,’ is living the essence of life.”

To Make the Stage Called This World (the Phenomenal World) a Success

“Where does life come from, what does it do here, and where does it return?”

“What were we born for?”

“What is the meaning of living?”

“What happens to people when they die?”

“What on earth is the relationship between the universe and all life?”

I could go on forever, but it’s exactly that kind of philosophical questioning of yourself that forms “the groundwork on which a newly born character is based.”

A physical human being alive means that people of the other world have come to this world and are spending a certain period of time here, right?

Each of them has a plan they held before being born.

If we compare this world to the stage of a play, it’s as if the people who were backstage rehearse day after day before standing on the stage, and the actual performance is where they show the results of that practice.

If you add the story of composite spirits to that, this world is a stage performed as a two-person or three-person act inside a single costume.

Unless several people breathe in sync, they can’t perform well, right?

That’s what I meant a moment ago by “becoming a completely fresh A, in whom the respective qualities of B, C, and D have been integrated and harmonized as a being of ‘one life.'”

And what corresponds to the script is “the habits of thought of past lives,” repeated over and over, while what corresponds to improvisation is “divine consciousness consciously expressed in this very moment.”

Consciousness, thoughts, and the heart, if you don’t use them consciously, easily get swept along by habitual thoughts, and you end up with a way of life lacking in freshness, right?

In that sense, on the stage called this world, improvisation rooted in divinity is the true measure of an actor’s skill.
