To Experience Ascension for Yourself (Part 1)
Published on Updated on
★The truth that changes in yourself brought about by external factors are an illusion
It seems some people are wondering, “When I ascend, what kind of symptoms will I have?” So today let’s talk about something related to that.
But before we get into it, there’s just one thing we’d like you to know. Ascending isn’t catching an illness in the first place, so what happens isn’t a symptom but a change—and specifically, a change that comes as a result of your consciousness deepening. Please hold on firmly to that.
Also, what follows will be easier to understand if you read it from a viewpoint that looks at the whole objectively, as if it were about someone else—even if it applies to you. Please keep that in mind.
All right?
Now let’s get to the main point. Whether you use the word “symptom” or “change,” you can see that beneath the thought that asks this question lies “a hope that something about you will change automatically,” can’t you?
Stepping back from that kind of thought is, in fact, an important step toward ascension.
Because ascension means “consciousness returning to the original sacredness of life.”

That is also the reason we have consistently recommended, from beginning to end, “a way of living that aims for the evolution of consciousness.”
When you look at the heart that asks this kind of question, you can see that consciousness tends to overlap with the habit of thought that relies on things outside, can’t you?
To tell the truth, it isn’t that you can change because something outside your mind and body has changed. The deepening of consciousness comes first, and the changes you can feel follow afterward (they overflow from within).
Even if external factors change, unless the person changes of their own accord, no essential change will come to them.
In that sense, you could say ascension means raising where your consciousness stands up into the divine realm.
And to answer those wondering, “What is the divine realm?”—it’s the place where life originally exists, a world of infinite truth, goodness, and beauty, so it is a vibrational space in which no ill will (thoughts separated from the essence of life) can survive for even an instant.
But that vibrational space is not brought about by external factors.
It is an internal factor, the result of thinking, speaking, and acting while tirelessly aiming for the evolution of consciousness.
In other words, you could say it is “a world created by a state of mind that is no longer caught by anything at all.” (To be continued next time)
