The Secret to Changing Yourself
Published on Updated on
★What Is Happiness?
Everyone wishes, “I want to be happy,” don’t they?
And yet what each person means by the happiness they want varies from person to person.
Why does it vary? Because how each person defines happiness and unhappiness in life is nothing other than “a product of their own perception.”
Some people are unhappy even in a wealthy family.
Some people are unfortunate even while healthy.
Some people are lonely even while blessed with the love of those around them.
Some people struggle in anguish even in circumstances others would envy.
On the other hand, sometimes a person who looks at first glance to be in pitiful circumstances is, surprisingly, in a clear, light state of mind, truly feeling happiness from the heart, and living positively with love and gratitude.
Among all these different people, if you look out over the whole Earth, why do you think so few people live with hearts that truly feel happy?
What I’m asking about lies deeper than visible reasons such as “because I can’t get what I want,” “because my illness won’t heal,” or “because other people won’t do what I want.”
“Because the ways of the world, society, the nation, and the world are bad” is also rejected.
Basic income, better welfare, and reforming and improving social systems are all very important, but they alone cannot change people’s hearts at the deepest level.
Even if you suppressed and eliminated terrorism, or did away with the survival-of-the-fittest competitive society only on the level of systems, people’s hearts would not change.
Even if you had people live only with others they completely liked, eradicated illness from the world, gave each individual infinite wealth, or, on the contrary, created a world without money, people’s hearts still would not change.
Why? Because, as I said a moment ago, it comes down to “Why is such a blessed person unhappy?” or “Why is such a pitiful-looking person happy?” Whether you are happy or not is, in the end, due to each person’s perception, to the state of their heart.
Surface matters such as living conditions, social circumstances, relationships, health, and even poverty and wealth are deeply connected with that state of the heart.
That is exactly why we need to focus on “how you use your thoughts,” which you could say shapes everything, and look at the reasons why you cannot feel happy.
Because people didn’t look that deeply, no matter how much they patched up the world they perceive through the five senses, they could never escape from a state in which unhappiness from the same cause kept appearing in different forms.
Just like repeatedly trying to climb out of an antlion’s pit and sliding back down.
★Why People Who Think They Aren’t Happy Can’t Become Happy
So, as preparation for jumping into a state of mind that can feel happiness, we move on to the stage of “deeply reflecting on the state of your heart as your own matter.”
That’s the “hop” of the hop, step, and jump of the triple jump.
First, let’s look at why your heart has until now been ruled by thoughts of “not enough, lacking, can’t do it, impossible.”
Close your eyes and take a deep breath.
…
Could you sense it?
The greatest common answer (cause) shared by everyone is this: “You saw what exists as ‘not there,’ and saw what does not exist (illusion) as ‘there.'”
The details vary from person to person, though.
To go further, the root cause of thinking that way was that you didn’t know your true self.
Precisely because they didn’t know their true selves, physical humans could not perceive what exists, and mistook “illusions that can only disappear” for reality.
Simply put, they were living inside a misunderstanding (an illusion).
To put it yet another way, it’s the risky story of “walking with your eyes closed.”
Even in such a situation, if you somehow keep moving forward, then starting with those who finish learning at the level of consciousness that says, “It’s never going to get better anyway,” people begin to earnestly seek true happiness, and in turn their true selves.
Only when they reach that stage can they arrive at the state of knowing the truth that “every destiny that appears in life, good or bad, was formed by my own thoughts, conscious and unconscious.” That is the “step” stage of hop, step, and jump.

★The Stage After Finding the Cause
Once you know the cause, the next thing is to firmly grasp the strong good thought and unshakable conviction that “everything is fulfilled, nothing is lacking, I can, it’s all right, there is only accomplishment,” and to become completely one with that consciousness.
Here at last you enter the world of the “jump” of the heart’s triple jump (hop, step, and jump).
What?
“Thinking it’s enough when it isn’t, that nothing’s lacking when something is, that I’m healthy when I’m sick… isn’t that just will-power? That’s a stretch,” you say?
Yes, it’s natural to feel that way. For a consciousness that can only perceive self and others as separate, it’s no wonder you’d think so. But actually, there is something a little deeper.
The reason I say so is that when physical humans settle all their karma and return to “the light of life” itself, they find that everything was in the universe from the very beginning. There is no such thing as lacking or not lacking; there is only a world of perfect wholeness and great harmony spreading out.
That is the truth of the great universe that you can truly feel when your consciousness returns to the original world of life.
This lesson is shared by the inhabitants of the worlds of every star. Just before the heaven and earth of a star enter the stage where spirituality and materiality are in great harmony, vertical and horizontal like a cross, most people tend to feel bewildered: “I don’t understand why it’s so.”
But dualistic perceptions like “there is” and “there isn’t,” “enough” and “not enough,” “healthy” and “unhealthy” are, no matter what you do, nothing but products of thoughts stuck to the physical body.
There is no way to gain happiness that never crumbles other than to know that truth and return to the truth of being a human being, a dwelling place of the spirit.
What I’m telling you is the ultimate story: “For that, there is nothing to do but change your habits of thought.” If only you live that way, anyone can shift naturally and without strain into a way of living in which they make full use of a consciousness in accordance with the cosmic law of “great harmony” and freely turn their images into reality.
The way to do that is to dig up the light of life called the truth of the universe, using every means you can, from the side of your surface consciousness toward the depths of your spirit.
Why do I say to dig truth up from within yourself? Because it is something that was “within the light of your own life” from the very beginning, and exists nowhere else.
★Seven Concrete Ways to Change Your Life
I told you that every destiny that appears in life appears through the realization of thoughts, right?
Nothing else, no one at all, can control your own perception when you think, “Such-and-such is so-and-so.”
Turning that principle to your advantage, you change your way of living so that you consciously control and make use of the lawless perception that until now you have let flow out unconsciously.
How? It is the concrete practice of what I mentioned a moment ago, digging up the light of life called the truth of the universe, using every means you can, from the side of your surface consciousness toward the depths.
That is,
- Deepen your everyday breathing → deep breathing
- Copy out words of truth with care while holding your breath
- Consciously speak and act with gratitude and love
- Declare the consciousness of life → i-nori
- Write down every day the truth that overflows from within
- Pray from the heart for the true happiness of humanity
- Gratitude to the Higher Self → becoming one
and so on.
Don’t think about whether it’s no good or good; just keep doing these things.
What happens then is that your habits of thought change completely.
How you feel that change differs from person to person, but in many cases it happens before you know it, without your noticing, and one day when you happen to look back, the day will come when you think, with a feeling from the bottom of your heart, “I have been allowed to be reborn as a completely different person.”
★To Greet the Dawn of the Heart
I listed seven ways a moment ago, but some people may think, “I could never do that many things all at once.”
In that case, I recommend doing just the first one, “deep everyday breathing,” tirelessly every day.
You will definitely change.
And when you change, the stage of your life levels up.
When the stage of your life rises, your evolution of consciousness speeds up.
When it speeds up, the karmic thoughts that were a resisting force weaken, and the time you can spend in the consciousness of the divine realm grows longer.
What I’ve told you today is the secret of changing yourself in this way.
No, the change happens in an instant, so maybe it’s better to call it “the secret to changing yourself.”
The truth is that for everyone, the stage changes as soon as they begin, but habitual thoughts keep them from noticing it right away, so there is a gap before they feel the change.
Besides, these are not the only paths to the evolution of consciousness, so try anything your intuition tells you is good.
All sorts of thoughts, like “It’s no use anyway,” may get in the way of doing it. But when you overcome those obstacles and keep going, the sun of spiritual light will surely rise in the sky within your heart, and you will actually achieve the ascension (dimensional ascension) of your heart and body!
I strongly declare that here.
For in the heaven and earth of the heart, there is no night that doesn’t end in dawn.
