The Importance of Education About Life (Part 1)

★What we should teach children first, before anything else

Rather than teaching young children difficult academic subjects, teach them the laws of life and guide them so they can put them to use.

For that, it would be best to replace the school subject called “Moral Education” with “Life,” and to prepare an environment where children learn what “life” is, learn how to use it, and can actually express it in their own thoughts, words, and deeds.

If, on top of that, what is taught is “intellectual education,” such as “language,” “arithmetic,” “science,” and “social studies,” based on the law of the great harmony of life, along with “physical education” that guides children to settle the vibrancy of their souls into their bodies, then any child, without needing special effort, will grow into an adult who can live with the light of life shining in their spirit and body.

If language isn’t just linguistics, arithmetic isn’t just mathematics, science isn’t just chemistry or physics, social studies isn’t learning about a world limited to the material realm, and physical education is a time that encourages the outpouring of life force and promotes the development of mind and body, then all their time at school will become enjoyable, and each child’s evolution of consciousness will change into something that happens of its own accord.

From that point of view, you can say that school education on the Earth until now has lacked the perspective of “education about life.”

On the Earth, quite a few people, regardless of age or gender, come close to losing sight of how precious life is, don’t they?

That’s why, in every age, there has been no end to incidents and scandals.

To bring about such an educational reform, an overall social reform that involves even the nation is necessary, so the strength of one or two people can’t change it right away. But if you guide your own children this way at home, as a supplement to school education, you’ll see before your eyes their will to grow develop rapidly and flourish of its own accord.

Please be sure to awaken in children an active desire that can give life to everyone.

Adults should have learned from their own experience that no matter how much passive study you do, in which life isn’t brought to life, the heart doesn’t grow, you’d think.

If you yourself originally had an active attitude toward learning, put yourself in the children’s shoes and think about why their attitude toward learning tends to become passive.

Motivations like getting ahead after entering society or becoming one of life’s winners don’t really resonate in the hearts of today’s children.

Why? Because the children being born these days are often high Deities who have been born to make the Earth into a fine star.

They often sense that adults, too, are searching for true happiness, so they’re skilled at opening up their own paths rather than the ready-made ways of living pushed on them by adults. (To be continued)
