From Relativity to Totality

★When you are in a consciousness of relativity

It’s hard to pass on real truth to people who have completely forgotten the truth of life.

If you’re enthusiastic, the other person cools off; if you step back, they lean in—hearts rarely line up just right.

What we’d like you to know about this is that even if the person you’re talking with is just one person in front of you, it’s good to speak as if you were speaking to all humanity, without getting wrapped up (absorbed) in that particular individual.

What happens then? The hearts of you, who are conveying the talk, are in a state with no attachment to any particular individual from the start, so you can let the universal truth that pervades the universe shine.

You could say it’s an invincible state of mind.

Because you are simply shining, and however the person who receives that light takes it, you can stay in a state of thought with no attachment to it at all.

In practical terms, what matters is never, ever to think you must get the other person to understand, or make them understand, no matter what.

Because that is nothing but attachment.

If you can’t let go of an attached heart, your heart is in the same world of relativity as the other person, and even if you speak of truth from that state of mind, the true resonance is hard to convey.

★If you are in a consciousness of totality

It’s good to always keep your heart in totality, in wholeness.

That means it’s good to keep your heart settled within the divine realm. If you are like that, thoughts of the ego wanting to do something about the other person can’t arise.

The way to do this is to keep your everyday breathing slow and relaxed. If you can just do that, you can stay in a heart of totality without any effort.

Let today’s talk take firm root in your heart, and try dealing with the people around you.

Then, before you know it, the people around you will become fine people.

It naturally changes into a situation where there’s no need for the “me, me” individual self to wear itself out thinking, “What should I do for them, how should I help them?”

That’s the reason a selfless heart is invincible.

Even without your thinking about what to do, what you do naturally leads yourself and others toward great harmony of its own accord.

You already have the power to purify your surroundings just by being there.

Be deeply aware of that, and tune your words and deeds to divinity all your waking hours.

If you do that, everything will surely be carried along well before you know it, without your straining to think, “I have to do something about this.”
