On the Things About Human Beings That Seem Unclean (Part 2)

(5) The Difference Between Consciousness and Thoughts

I said a moment ago, “The physical body is a vehicle made by consciousness.” Here let’s confirm the difference between consciousness and thoughts.

Why talk about this here and now? Because unless you understand the truth that “a human being is consciousness itself, and never mere thoughts,” the deep-rooted misunderstanding that “the physical body itself is me” cannot be undone.

And one thing I want to make clear is this: “consciousness and thoughts are both spiritual vibrations that can’t be seen with the eyes or touched with the hands,” so in that sense they may seem the same, but in their freedom there is truly a difference as great as that between heaven and earth.

Consciousness has no restriction at all.

But thoughts are restricted.

Why? Because thoughts are spiritual vibrations that arise while wrapped in the cocoon of the physical body, so they can’t get out of the self-binding shell that says, “I am the physical body.”

And that is where all kinds of suffering arise.

This has nothing to do with the question we’re focusing on this time, but among the worries of living there are the worry of growing old, the suffering of illness, the fear of death, and so on. Every kind of suffering arises not from consciousness but from thoughts.

Consciousness is something that resembles thoughts but is quite different. Consciousness is the appearance, on the side of spiritual vibration, of the free rhythm of the light of life, and its working.

So true consciousness and the thoughts that have been confused with consciousness are completely different things.

Except for one point: they are both “energy operated on the basis of the Light of Life.”

(6) On the Worries That Arise as We Grow

Now let me come back to the story and talk about what happens after birth.

Everyone is raised with great, great care from shortly after birth through early childhood, and before long an ego-consciousness forms and they can move around on their own without a parent following them.

Around the teenage years, the physical characteristics of each sex appear clearly, they become aware of their own sex, and the worries related to it also increase.

Besides that, with the awakening of the ego, various desires come to the surface.

Some people feel the act of excretion to be a nuisance and worry, “Why is there such a function?”

The truth is that if parents, grandfathers, or grandmothers told the worried boys and girls the truth about human life and the physical body, they could all be spared their worries and grow up healthy in life. But until now the time had not yet come, and worrying like that was also a necessary experience.

(7) On Excretory Functions

From here on the talk becomes a little indelicate, but let’s talk about excretory functions, such as feeling the need to urinate or defecate, and sweating.

About this, everyone is embarrassed and carries worries they can hardly talk to anyone about. Among all the various worries, what [your name] has been questioning is that “excretion = unclean,” so it doesn’t sit right that human beings who have such functions are divine beings.

From what I’ve said so far you may have a rough idea already, but once you understand the fact that a human being is a driver who has climbed into a physical body, and the physical body is a soft vehicle that returns to the soil once the driver leaves it, doesn’t that clear things up a little?

To explain it with cars: these days, fuel cell cars that run by burning hydrogen have started to appear, but cars until now have run by burning gasoline or diesel oil to turn the engine, right?

And the waste from the fuel used in combustion was released into the air as exhaust gas, wasn’t it?

In the same way, human beings until now have maintained their physical bodies with material food and put unnecessary materials out of the body through various excretory functions.

Just as a car moves by burning fuel to turn the engine, the physical body takes in the nutrients it needs from the food put into the body and the spiritual elements taken in through breathing, and the leftover waste after the nutrients are taken in becomes excrement and is released outside the body.

Just as the waste from a car’s combustion is released as exhaust gas.

In this way, excretory functions are not something human life itself is doing, but functions built into the physical body as a vehicle.

The reality of a human being is always consciousness and the heart, and that is a spiritual vibration, a rhythm of light directly connected with “the light of life.”

The physical body, on the other hand, is a vehicle of material vibration that dries up once consciousness leaves it and, unless it is burned at a crematorium, returns to the natural world as elements.

So there was no need at all to feel excretory functions as something unpleasant.

The physical body is a precious vehicle that lets you work in the physical world, so there is every reason to be grateful to it and no need at all to look down on it.

After all, there isn’t a single person, not even the most beautiful man or woman in the world, who lives without excreting.

(8) On the Various Desires

Next, let’s talk about why sexual desire, appetite, desire for money, and desire for power are also necessary.

Have you ever thought about what would happen to the world if people had no desires at all?

If sexual desire disappeared, probably no one would try to conceive a baby when it means going through hardship.

If appetite disappeared, in a world that has not cultivated the conviction that people can live on spiritual elements alone, everyone would starve to death within a few months.

In a money-economy society where value is measured and exchanged in money, if you gave up earning, you couldn’t support your family, and even single people couldn’t live.

You might have the fantasy that if thoughts like the desire for power, authority, and advancement disappeared, the world would become an ideal one without a survival-of-the-fittest competitive society. But if that happened with Earth’s humanity in its present state of mind, many people would take it easy at work and choose to live for fun.

You can see what would happen to the world then, right?

In this way, the way desires have been until now was a way of being suited to humanity’s level of consciousness until now.

That’s because the vibrational sphere of Earth until now has been a world of coarse resonance. What you’ve seen so far is like the shadow of matter that forms when light shines on it, and to look only at that shadow and conclude, “This is the reality of human beings,” was a very wasteful way of seeing.

But from now on it’s different.

This is a story of the spiritual dimension and doesn’t match the common sense of the physical world, so please take it only as a metaphor. The world from now on is a world where both spiritual vibration and material vibration are spiritualized, so it will become a world where no shadow forms even when light shines.

Actually, there are shadows.

But they are all refined and transparent.

It will become a world where no one could possibly mistake the shadow for the reality as before.

(9) What Becomes of Appetite

To add to this, appetite, in a newly ascended world, doesn’t completely disappear, but it becomes extremely faint.

First, the purpose of eating changes.

Meals become a tool for making exchanges between people go smoothly, and wanting food because you’re hungry gradually disappears.

This will change step by step on Earth too, but first three meals a day become two, two become one, and one meal a day becomes one meal every few days, decreasing little by little.

Before long, an appetite that pushes you around with desire will naturally disappear.

(10) What Becomes of Excretion

As for excretion, it varies from person to person, but the further spiritualization progresses, the smaller the amount becomes, and eventually it disappears.

Or rather, the need for it fades.

Because the more you are spiritualized, the fewer toxins and impurities of spiritual and material vibration there are that must be put out of the body.

In this way, the more you ascend, the more the shadow side of both excretion and the various desires disappears, so the conclusion is: “Nothing is worth worrying about.”

So for now, it’s enough not to judge everything as good or bad, but to accept every state of things just as it is and shine the light of gratitude on it.

Gazing only at “the light of life” working deep within every being.
